When Umer Tarpal House first opened its shutters at Shop 39, Naulakha Bazar in Lahore, Pakistan was a different country. Motorways didn’t exist. Camping was something only the military did. And if you needed a tarpal, you walked to the market and asked whoever your father trusted.

That trust is what we have been building for over 45 years.

What began as a small shop near Lahore’s Railway Station grew into one of the most recognised outdoor protection businesses in Punjab. Generations of truck drivers, farmers, construction contractors, campers, and families have come to us for one simple reason: we know our products, and we stand behind every single one of them.

What We Sell

We are not a general store that happens to stock a few tarpals. This is all we do, and we do it better than anyone.

Our tarpaulin range covers every need and every budget. Plastic tarpals come in six grades from standard to KING grade, with rings every three feet on all sides and no cross-stitching to weaken the material. Canvas tarpals range from 7-ounce to 4×4 construction-grade fabric, used by labourers, the military, and heavy industry. For the most demanding applications, our parachute tarpals outlast both plastic and canvas and can be made to any custom size.

Our tent collection serves two very different kinds of customers. For construction sites and labour camps, our V-shaped canvas tents start from 9×12 feet and include ropes, nails, and a plastic tarpal overlay. For outdoor enthusiasts and families, we carry a full range of camping tents from simple 2-person manual tents to premium hydraulic auto-setup tents for 8 people, all made with water-resistant parachute fabric.

Umbrellas are a category we take seriously. Our hand umbrellas range from cartoon-printed kids models with a whistle to the Rolls Royce steel-handle umbrella and BMW-logo premium range. Our folding umbrellas include dual-automatic open-and-close models in classic colours. For gardens, restaurants, and outdoor spaces, we carry local parachute frame umbrellas up to 10 feet, imported windproof fibre frame models, and grand bamboo frame umbrellas up to 12 feet.

When the monsoon arrives, our raincoat and rain suit range has you covered. We manufacture our own black and silver coated parachute suits and coats in Lahore, and we import premium China PVC machine-pressed sets in four colours. All sizes available including large.

We also carry sleeping bags, car and bike covers, camping accessories including windproof stoves, air beds, foam mattresses, folding chairs and tables, gazebos, hiking sticks, and silicon rain shoe covers. If it protects you from the elements outdoors, we either stock it or can get it made.
